Products to kill off Japanese Mosquitoes?

Question by Claire M:
Products to kill off Japanese Mosquitoes?

Asked over at the Japan section and got very little (ie, nothing) by way of useful information; basically my room has been invaded by mosquitoes, and having tried a variety of non-direct “repellents” I am now at the end of my leash and just want to kill these annoying pests off!

Sprays would be ideal, although I don’t know how available certain things might be in Japan..
(Also don’t mind if sprays or such are toxic – I’ll put up with anything as long as I can get rid of these guys!)

I have heard that marigolds keep them at bay, as do citrus peel. Citronella, as well. I’d Google some natural resources, as sprays have a lot of nasty things in them that are as bad for humans as they are for bugs!

I don’t think I’ve ever heard of Japanese Mosquitoes, but here is some very good information on the use of pesticides and repellents, both artificial and organic (if you despise artificial and otherwise have pets or children to care for):

    This should help!
