Ultrasonic Mosquito Repellent?
Mosquito is a serious problem in our community, children have died because of Dengue, a disease spread by mosquitoes. I’d like to buy an “Ultrasonic Mosquito Repellent” to protect our home, but as I was reading articles on the net, none of them said it really works. Some say its a scam. Is there any experiment or study conducted that will somehow show that this ultrasonic things are also ultra-effective?

The consensus of researchers who have actually investigated ultrasonic devices is these products do not effectively repel or eliminate pests from homes. In fact, in the 1980′s the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) charged several companies with false advertising and required them to make refunds to customers. My guess is it is just a matter of time and the FTC will go after the makers of these other devices also.
